Welcome to your TIE wiki, Henry Middle School!

I created this site so that we could communicate and collaborate about the TIE conference here.  As you may or may not know depending on previous experience, the Technology in Education Conference is an excellent opportunity to expose yourself to the latest in technology for education and for personal use.  The TIE sessions that you will sign up for will span the range from new user to seasoned veteran and I am sure you will have no trouble finding something of interest that will support the team learning projects that you submitted.

Here you can communicate to just your team whereas communication with the other 4 schools is via the home page.

The first order of business is verifying that everybody listed below is indeed a part of your team and then finding  a time when we can all meet to collaborate about your learning project.  Post here so that I will know you got through okay and you may want to subscribe to the RSS feed so that you will be notified by e-mail each time a team member contributes to this wiki.

Team-

It's a good thing I went to the web 2.0 seession and learned about Wiki's. I would have had no clue how to edit and use a wiki. Now I feel a bit more confident an d am trying this out. I have my students create stories through Comic Life and movies through iMovie. Let's talk to see how I would fit this project into my curriculum.

I also want to learn about the pod casting using garage band.I am going to go to the iLife in the classroom session this afternoon. The iLife and podcasting is my choice for Thursday afternoon. I am really excited to be here and excited to learn new things. Thanks, Dale, For your help in getting me here.

"Expanding the Digital Storytelling Project Amy started this year to include library based research and into Elaine's technology class."

Let's start our discussion by looking over the available sessions to find the ones that would aid you in fulfilling this goal.  Click on the link below and click "TIE Conference Wiki" in red to see TIE schedule and peruse the multiple sessions available to you at the TIE conference

FROM AMY

Clickers--More than a testing tool session

Focus on assessment and using data not sure how we can tie this into my digital storytelling project but there is a lot we can do with it.

iLife and Podcasting--I think we can use GarageBand and podcasts as part of digital storytelling next year--you do the narration and then can place dots to place pictures in the right places.  Maybe another option.  I am really excited about this for digital storytelling or other projects and we already have what we need to do this!
