Group Project
Welcome to your TIE wiki, George Washington High School!
I created this site so that we could communicate and collaborate about the TIE conference here. As you may or may not know depending on previous experience, the Technology in Education Conference is an excellent opportunity to expose yourself to the latest in technology for education and for personal use. The TIE sessions that you will sign up for will span the range from new user to seasoned veteran and I am sure you will have no trouble finding something of interest that will support the team learning projects that you submitted.
Here you can communicate to just your team whereas communication with the other 4 schools is via the home page.
The first order of business is verifying that everybody listed below is indeed a part of your team and then finding a time when we can all meet to collaborate about your learning project. Post here so that I will know you got through okay and you may want to subscribe to the RSS feed so that you will be notified by e-mail each time a team member contributes to this wiki.

"In 2007-08 school year, GWHS will again be attempting a team approach with out ninth grade class. We found the approach to be very successful in the 05-06 school year and have adjusted it to accommodate double block periods for English and Mathematics. The social studies department has ordered more technology to enhance curriculum. Attendance at the conference will put teachers at GWHS in a position to use the materials more effectively through technology skill development. They can then become the leader teachers in spreading this technology use throughout the school. We include two disciplines within our GW team. Attendance at the conference will help us develop technology skills which we can carry into team planning. attendance at the conference will give us time to discuss interdisciplinary projects which will affect not only our team, but which can be shared with the other two ninth grade teams and encourage consistent implementation of quality projects. we need to, together, explore the technology that we can apply to our individual disciplines and use in common on some e projects. In addition to our group immersion at the TIE conference , we will have common planning time at school. this will allow us to continue to grow from the team experience initiated at the conference."
Let's start our discussion by looking over the available sessions to find the ones that would aid you in fulfilling this goal. Click on the link below and click "TIE Conference Wiki" in red to see TIE schedule and peruse the multiple sessions available to you at the TIE conference
